An Excellent Wife is Worth More Than Jewels

If you have time you should read the Scripture I posted below. My wife Amie has been amazing spouse as we prepare for Africa. She hasn't complained but has worked hard as we prepare to move to Kenya. The description below is very accurate of what she is accomplishing and sacrificing for our family. 31:15 says below that she rises while it is still yet night. Which is very true because her shift down at the Pilgrim Center starts at 6 am. She has my trust, she gives to those in need, and she is amazing at working with her hands.

I had to put this on the blog to show off her talent. She is selling handmade Coffee Cuffs down at the coffee shop here in Caronport. And is already having a bit of success with them.

31:29 is very fitting for my wife Amie, “Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”

Proverbs 31:10: An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.

and works with willing hands.

she brings her food from afar.

and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.

with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.

Proverbs 31:17: She dresses herself with strength
and makes her arms strong.

Her lamp does not go out at night.

Proverbs 31:19: She puts her hands to the distaff,
and her hands hold the spindle.

Proverbs 31:20: She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy.

Proverbs 31:21: She is not afraid of snow for her household,
for all her household are clothed in scarlet.

Proverbs 31:22: She makes bed coverings for herself;
her clothing is fine linen and purple.

Proverbs 31:23: Her husband is known in the gates
when he sits among the elders of the land.

Proverbs 31:24: She makes linen garments and sells them;
she delivers sashes to the merchant.

Proverbs 31:25: Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.

Proverbs 31:26: She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Proverbs 31:27: She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Proverbs 31:28: Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

Proverbs 31:29: “Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”

Proverbs 31:30: Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Proverbs 31:31: Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.

    Collards is green my dog's name is Blue and I'm so lucky to have a sweet thang like you.

    Yore hair is like cornsilk a-flapping in the breeze Softer than Blue's and without all them fleas.

    You move like the bass, which excite me in May. You ain't got no scales but I luv you anyway.

    You have som'a yore teeth, for which I am proud; I hold my head high when we're in a crowd.

    On special occasions, when you shave under yore arms, well, I'm in hawg heaven, and awed by yore charms.

    Still them fellers at work, they all want to know, what I did to deserve such a purdy, young doe.

    Like a good roll of duct tape yo're there fer yore man, to patch up life's trou bles and fix what you can.

    Yo're as cute as a junebug a-buzzin' overhead. You ain't mean like those far ants I found in my bed.

    Cut from the best cloth like a plaid flannel shirt, you spark up my life more than a fresh load of dirt.

    When you hold me real tight like a padded gunrack, my life is complete; Ain't nuttin' I lack.

    Yore complexion, it's perfection, like the best vinyl sidin'. despite all the years, yore age, it keeps hidin'.

    Me 'n' you's like a Moon Pie with a RC cold drank, we go together like a skunk goes with stank.

    Some men, they buy chocolate for Valentine's Day; They git it at Wal-Mart, it's romantic that way.

    Some men git roses on that special day from the cooler at Kroger. "That's impressive," I say.

    Some men buy fine diamonds from a flea market booth. "Diamonds are forever," they explain, suave and couth.

    But for this man, honey, these won't do. Cause yo're too special, you sweet thang you. I got you a gift, without taste nor odor, more useful than diamonds... IT'S A NEW TROLLIN' MOTOR!!
