Surprise Gifts are the BEST!

The picture is of a rural church in Mossbank, Sk. We have developed a deep relationship with the people of this church over the past year or more. I have been filling in frequently for them in doing pulpit supply. A few months ago they came onto our support team for Kenya. We are so thankful for their commitment to the ministry of multiplying Kenyan leaders. It's hard to explain the blessing this congregation has been to us the past year.

This Sunday they blew our minds with their generosity. We drove down to church early for Sunday School. When we arrived there was a massive amount of groceries sitting on a table in their fellowship hall. I figured they were for the foodbank or something as a Christmas gift. All of sudden someone gets up front and says all the food is for us plus a Turkey and ground beef in the freezer! We were stunned. Plus that was not all, they had a massive box full of clothes and new toys for the kids. Unreal! Plus, a little bit of money for Amie and I to go and buy something for ourselves at Christmas. We were soooo blessed. Saying "Thank-you" just isn't enough. It was amazing to go through the food and see all the things they gave us. Things that we really enjoy and they did not even know...like a can of Tim Horton's Coffee! And Chai tea which Amie loves. Amazing. Thank-you Lord for using your people to be a blessing!
