On the town

We have been introduced to a great place to eat right on the edge of Old Town. It's a Swahili restaurant that makes great food for a great price! We have been trying to go down to eat there about once a week. One because the food is good. Two, so we can build relationships with the people. And three so we can practice the Swahili we have learned.

You can sit outside or inside the restaurant. Sitting outside is great because we can watch people, Tuk Tuk's, cars, and many other interesting sights go by.

They make Naan bread right in front of you in these barrels kept hot by coals. Here Grace is displaying her bread. I also tried the Swahili pizza last time we were there too. It's kind of like a flat calazone with cheese, chicken, and some egg. I will have to take a pic next time.

Ian fell asleep in the Tuk Tuk so here is Mama holding him while we wait for dinner.
This is a pic I took as we were driving into downtown Mombasa in a Tuk Tuk.
