Haircut Ministry

 We have found ourselves in the past weeks and months being led by God to help out a little bit with a group of former street boys that attend our church.  There is a America worker who works with them full-time and does a tremendous job helping and discipling the boys.   Part of his program is to help the boys connect with a family.  We have taken in one of the boys as a "adopted son" and feed him a couple times a week and meet with him once a week for a time of discipleship.  Currently, we are listening together to "God's Smuggler" by Brother Andrew.

Anyway, one of the days Steve was over Amie realized they needed haircuts.  Although, it is only 50 cents or so to get your haircut out on the street somewhere this is a big hit for someone with very limited funds like the boys.  So, Amie armed with her clippers went to work on Steve and his friend who were over.  And gave the two boys a buzz cut!  They were thrilled especially with the fact that she washed their heads after.  Two days later our friend Steve brought over another boy for a haircut too.  We are amazed at the ways God has allowed us to serve and help here and the people He uses to bless us.
