Candidates Week

Since Thursday we have been in Candidates Week in Toronto with AIM. It's been a heavy week of learning about life in Africa everything from health issues to security concerns. While we have been doing the training the kids have had their own training time. They have been learning about different African countries, Swahili words, and doing many other fun activities. I think I would almost like to be in the kids session more than ours!

Matthew 13:44 has really connected with me in these days again. "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."

Following Christ's call is not easy. We definitely have been counting the cost of the calling; extreme heat, health concerns, security, new culture, and bringing children into this environment these things are huge. But Christ's kingdom is worth more. Because of that we are excited to participate with God and with those who partner with us in His ministry in Kenya.
