Start the Countdown

Well, we have passed over July and now we are officially a year away from Kenya. AIM is anticipating us flying out around July 20th of 2011. This should be a wake-up call for us as we have soooooo many things to do before then. Passports is our next major thing on the list. (Might be fun trying to get Ian to sit still for his photo!) But, we also need to finish up our medicals that we had a couple weeks ago with some blood work....Amie really loves needles! Then there are countless other things AIM has for us on something they call our OUTBOUND checklist. We will be starting a mentoring program for the next year too with a professor and his wife who have spent much time in Africa. I am looking forward to the things we are going to learn from them.

We are so thankful for the financial support that is coming in already. It has been amazing to see God lead others to participate in the ministry with us. It is really humbling but also extremely exciting to see what God is going to do through all the sacrificial gifts and prayers. Currently, we are over 20% of our monthly budget that is committed. Praise the Lord!
