An Encouraging Word of the Lord

God is still speaking today.

On Sunday evening we were relaxing after our traditional "Sunday Pancake Supper" the hockey game was on but for some reason we felt compelled to go to Caronport Community's evening service. It was like every other evening service that we have gone to with the usual hymn's and prayer requests.

Then we had a special speaker Rev. Sebastian from Kenya. He has established an orphanage in Eldoret and is working on raising more funds for it from Canada. He went to the front and did some special music that had our kids literally standing on their chairs dancing away. When he preached he spoke on Galatians 5 and walking in the Spirit. At one point he said, "There are people here that are called to be missionaries in Africa and God will provide for you to go." Amie and I looked at each other like, "what?! did he just say!" He later went on to pray for many things including those people who were called to be missionaries.

We spoke with our brother after and he said he had no idea we were going. And honestly, if you would have looked around that room that night there wasn't exactly that many candidates that were physically able to do such a thing. It was an amazing word of encouragement for us. Especially, just after taking my course on the book of Hebrews and reading the "God's Smuggler" book by Brother Andrew. I emailed Rev Seb later and here is what he wrote me back, "it's so good hearing from you. God is so faithful. It is true, I did NOT know what I was speaking but the Holy Spirit was speaking in me to you and the other brethren." God is speaking. Be encouraged! I still don't know how it will all come together for our family but God does!
