Answered Prayers

Only 2 more sleeps till we are on the big plane for Africa! It is amazing to see how God has worked.

Today we just started thinking through all the prayer requests that have been answered as of late.

1. In our last Friday update we mentioned Elijah needed prayer for a stomach bug. He was doubled over in pain on the couch when I wrote the update. Not three hours after the email went out he was completely better! He was running around on the front yard. Wow! People were obviously praying!

2. Our van sold today! We had been trying for a few weeks now and today we got the news it sold!

3. Amie was worried about not having enough "readers" for the kids and their homeschooling. When we were visiting the Hay's, Kathleen offered to us her readers she had used in the classroom. The only catch was all her stacks and stacks of books were in their attic. It was a brutally hot day and crazy hot in her attic. So before she went into the attic she just prayed to the Lord that she would find the right grade appropriate one's in the first box she picked. Otherwise, she would never be able to find them because we were leaving and it was just too much to go through in such heat. So, the first box she picked held the exact readers we needed! Praise the Lord!

4. Wisdom for packing. We have everything packed away now and it appears all are 50 lbs or under! Praise the Lord!

5. Good memories with family. We have had great times with my family and Amie's. Many memories made.
